DIXON – Mary E. “Bette” Feltes, 90, of Dixon, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at Liberty Court in Dixon. 

She was born May 14, 1922, in Dixon, the daughter of Edward and Martha (McCoy) Witzleb. She married John E. Feltes on Oct. 1, 1946, in Dixon. He preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 1981.

Bette and her husband had owned and operated Tiny Tot Shop in Dixon from 1954 to 1967. She then worked for Willett, Hofmann & Associates for 27 years before retiring. In retirement, she volunteered at Washington and St. Anne schools. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Dixon, and the church choir for 50 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Deborah (Tom) Lange of Batavia and Marti (Gary) Egan of Harmon; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Ron) Diomar, Heather (Robert) Hamilton, Jeffrey (Sarah) Egan and Julie Egan; seven great-grandchildren, Rachel, Madison, Joshua, Grace, Colton, Benjamin and Ellia; and a sister-in-law, Betty Witzleb of Dixon.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, William E. Witzleb.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m., with a Scripture service at 4 p.m., Sunday, at Jones Funeral Home in Dixon. A prayer service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St Anne Catholic Church, with the Rev. Michael Morrissey officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon. 

Memorials have been established to the American Cancer Society and Serenity Hospice and Home.
