Literacy event a big success
The committee of Literacy Is Fun(damental) for Everyone – LIFE – would like to thank the many people who made the third annual Power of the Purse event such a success Sept. 27 at Deer Valley Country Club.
We thank the many people and businesses who donated items for the purses that made the fundraising possible for LIFE; and the committee members themselves for their many planning meetings, their requests to donors for purses and items to insert, assembling and wrapping the purses for the silent and live auctions and raffle, and working the event itself.
We thank Rob Young for his auctioneering of the event; the Sterling Public Library for the use of its sound system; and Nathan Fellows, Dillon Schuneman and Clay Phillips for their time in showcasing each item for auction.
