Kitson: ‘County board must work as a bipartisan team’
Hello, my name is Tom Kitson. I am a Republican candidate for Lee County Board from District 3 and a lifelong resident of Dixon. I attended Sauk Valley Community College, receiving an associate’s degree in agricultural business, and I earned my bachelor’s degree in business management from National Louis University.
I believe we need to partner with surrounding counties to draw new jobs and business; however, we must have a share of the new business located within Lee County to enhance our tax base. Working cooperatively will give us a larger area to draw business into and a better opportunity to win new business and jobs.
The county board must work as a bipartisan team to be successful for the future. The future of our economy is uncertain, to say the least, and we must be willing to “think outside the box” with new ideas and a vision to benefit Lee County.
