ROCK FALLS – Jim J. Howard, 70, of Rock Falls, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at his home. He was a tool and die maker for many years at Allied-Locke Industries in Dixon.

Jim was born Feb. 9, 1942, in Salem, Ark., the son of Floyd and Vera (Dunkerson) Howard. He married Emelinda Rodriguez in 1964, in Sterling.

Survivors include his wife of Rock Falls; four daughters, Roxanna (David) Novak of Neenah, Wis., Lynn (Jim Dickey) Howard and Emily (Rick) Fortune, both of Rock Falls, and Terri (Brian) Schnulle of Dixon; one brother, Charles (Hilda) Howard of Sterling; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Duane Howard.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. The memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dalmus Meeks, pastor of Harvest Time Bible Church, officiating. Burial will be at Coloma Township Cemetery in Rock Falls.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
