Sterling Police

Luis Hernandez, 36, of Sterling; 10:30 p.m. Monday; driving under the influence, no valid driver’s license; given notice to appear in court.

Sheriff

Mary F. Schlenker, 24, of Hoffman Estates; Monday in the 3500 block of West state Route 72; driving with a suspended license, speeding; taken to Ogle County Jail.

James Hare, 39, of Belvidere; Monday; warrant – failure to appear; taken to Ogle County Jail.

Kenneth C. Shearer, 33, of Monroe Center; Monday; warrant – failure to appear; taken to Ogle County Jail.

Oregon Police

Burglary investigation: Sept. 22 at Blackhawk Storage Units; numerous items were taken after 3:25 p.m. Sept. 16. Anyone with information is asked to call 815-732-2162.

Richard Little, 86, of Oregon; 2:10 p.m. Sept. 24 at Hill Street and state Route 2; disobeying a traffic device.

Charles R. Ackerson, 32, of Dixon; 9:01 p.m. Sept. 24 in the 600 block of Gale Street; driving with a suspended license. A passenger, Joseph R. VanPatter, 51, of Sterling, was arrested for possession of paraphernalia, possession of cannabis, less than 2.5 grams, illegal transportation of alcohol as a passenger. Both were transported to Ogle County Jail.

Rebecca E. Tart, 33, of Oregon, 4:08 a.m. Sept. 25 in the 100 block of South Fourth Street; no valid driver’s license.

James A. Waller, 45, of Leaf River; 6:55 p.m. Sept. 25 in the 1000 block of West state Route 64 Oregon; driving with a suspended license; and at 4:49 p.m. Sept. 26 in the 300 block of North Fourth Street; driving with a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Taken to Ogle County Jail./

Gary C. Ruby, 61, of Hamstead Car, Md.; 1:21 p.m. Sept. 26 in the 600 block of North Fourth Street; no front registration plate.

Scott J. Powell, 22, of Polo; 10:04 p.m. Sept. 26 in the 200 block of West Washington Street; tinted windows law violation.

Alyssa M. Fischer, 17, of Oregon; 11:40 a.m. Thursday at Madison and Seventh streets; disobeying a stop sign.
