Wilkins: ‘I enjoy the challenges of county board business’
People should vote to re-elect me to the Whiteside County Board because I have been a member of this county board for 4 years, which has kept a balanced corporate fund, while laying off not one employee. Also, all of the county employees have not had an increase in insurance premiums for those 4 years.
I graduated from the leadership academy of United Counties Council of Illinois on Oct. 19 at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield.
I was a high school swim coach in Morrison and Clinton, Iowa, for 25 years, and ran my own painting and decorating business in Morrison for 35 years. I am currently employed as a community relations manager for the Illinois Department of Transportation. My wife, Margie, and I have four children and four grandchildren.
