OREGON – Patrick “Duffy” McKeown, 53, of Oregon, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford. 

He was born Sept. 22, 1959, in Sterling, the son of William J. and Sharon (Clarkson) McKeown. Duffy graduated in 1977 from Sterling High School in 1977. He married Diann Kendell on Sept. 22, 1990, in Warren. 

Duffy worked many years for Rochelle Foods, where he was a manager. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, always putting his family and friends first. His home was always open to those in need. In his downtime, when he wasn’t working on the home he was building for his family, he loved to go hunting. He also had a deep devotion to sports, especially following his sons as they played at Oregon High School.
