Curtis Waggoner
STERLING – Curtis Waggoner, 63, of Sterling, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon. He was an engineering technician with the Department of Agriculture for 35 years, retiring in December 2007.
Curtis was born Oct. 14, 1948, in Anamosa, Iowa, the son of Nathaniel R. and Glenda M. (McElvania) Waggoner. He married Kaye Schiller on June 21, 1975, in Woodstock. He was a member of the Rock River Road Runners, and enjoyed golfing and biking.
Curtis started his own version of the Ironman Triathlon. This October is the 10th anniversary of the Noodleman, which consists of running, biking, breakfast and frisbee golf. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his friends and family.
