Junior Reilly Roberts, 17, of Dixon, is Amboy High School’s September Student of the Month. Her parents are Will and Zara Roberts, 53, and 45. Her sister is Jensin Roberts, 21.
Favorite class and teacher: Brad Smith, anatomy and physiology. It was very interesting and well taught. There was never a dull moment, and it was so much fun learning how the body works. He had very creative ways to explain certain systems to us.
Extracurriculars: National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, school and community theater programs
After graduation: I plan to attend Bradley University to either study in the medical field or vocal performance.
Paycheck: I’m in the Dixon Municipal Band and the Sterling Municipal Symphony playing alto saxophone. I really enjoy getting paid to do what I really enjoy.
Best friend: Lauren Akre. She tells the truth always and is very caring. If something is wrong, she’ll come over to help, no matter what time of day.
Trading places: Amelia Earhart, because she wouldn’t allow anything or anyone to stand in her way or tell her she wasn’t adequate
