Library seeks work by area artists

FRANKLIN GROVE – Franklin Grove Public Library, 112 S. Elm. St., would like to display local artwork. The library has picture rails with hooks to display framed pieces and a display case for other items. 

Interested artists should contact the library.

Movie night, featuring “Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted,” will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 26. Children may wear their Halloween costumes.

Craft and game day will be from 10:30 a.m. to noon Oct. 27. Participants will make Halloween crafts and play board and card games.  

Children younger than age 8 need parental supervision for these programs.

Robb; “Low Pressure,” by Sandra Brown; “Severe Clear,” by Stuart Woods; “Lucky Stuff,” by Sharon Fiffer; and “Winter of the World,” by Ken Follett.

New DVDs include “Battleship,” “The Lucky One,”“Super 8,” “What to Expect When You’re Expecting,” “Snow White & The Huntsman,” “Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3,” “The Cabin in the Woods” and “The Pirates! Band of Misfits.”
