College football: NIU's Lynch added to Maxwell Award watch list

NIU QB Jordan Lynch has been added to the watch list for the Maxwell Award, given to the most outstanding college football player in the country.

Through four games, Lynch has completed 64.1 percent of his passes for 845 yards with seven touchdowns and three interceptions. The junior has also run for a team-high 438 yards with five touchdowns. His average of 320.75 yards of total offense ranks 14th in the country.
