Wind farm revenue helps balance budget in Ohio
OHIO – Unlike many other area school districts, Ohio High School expects to come out of its next fiscal year in the black – thanks, the board says, to revenue from Bureau County’s wind farms.
“The good news is we have a positive balance in all funds, and we have a balanced budget,” Superintendent Sharon Sweger said at Monday’s board meeting.
The budget approved Monday projects about $1.3 million in revenues and about $1.2 million in expenses.
