Police say soldier admitted to lying about group attack
DIXON – A soldier told police he lied when he said he was jumped by a group of men outside a Dixon bar in late June, according to police.
Army Spc. Cody Gonzalez admitted to Dixon Police detectives that he was the aggressor during the fight on June 22 and was hit twice in the face after lunging at another bar customer.
He added that he lost consciousness that night and told police only what his friends had told him had happened.
