ROCK FALLS – About 20 Rock Falls High School students will sleep outdoors in boxes Saturday night to raise funds for Twin Cities PADS homeless shelter.

The students will accept donations from 7 to 11 p.m. in front of the school, 101 12th Ave.

Rock Falls High School Junior Optimist Club is sponsoring Night For the Homeless.

Canned foods and paper products will be accepted, but cash or checks made payable to Rock Falls High School are preferred.

Participants will be tested: The temperature is expected to dip below 30 degrees, teacher’s aide Tom DePasquale said.

“We’re going to find out what we’re really made of,” he said. “The homeless don’t get a choice.”

Call the school, 815-625-3886, for more information.
