Pumpkins lead to many recipe tips

OREGON –­ Marilyn Csernus, University of Illinois Extension nutritional and wellness educator, and Candice Miller, horticulture educator, will present the program “Pumpkins: More Than Just Jack-O-Lanterns.”

The class will be at 2 p.m. Oct. 23 at the U of I Extension office, 421 W. Pines Road.

Topics will be pumpkin harvesting, selection, use, nutritional benefits and preparation. Take-home recipes will be available.
