At this time of year, calendars get filled up very quickly. We highly recommend you save Oct. 14 for the first meeting of the Sterling-Rock Falls Historical Society. Our program is being presented by Dr. Ralph Troll, professor emeritus, Augustana College.

Dr. Troll was a young boy in Germany during World War II. He will share the story of his family during that most difficult time.

We first met Dr. Troll when he spoke to our daughter, Kirsten, and her class in Rock Island, and again at the Putnam for Augustana alumni. His program is appropriate and interesting to all, including students, grades fourth to fifth and up.
