4-H families plan drive-through meal

MOUNT CARROLL – The Carroll County 4-H Wonders of Washington Group will travel to Washington D.C. in April 2014, to sightsee and stay at the National 4-H Center. 

There will be a drive-through supper fundraiser from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 20. Proceeds will go toward the trip.

Pickup sites are: First Lutheran Church, 19 W. Third St., Chadwick, in the parking lot behind the church; Naaman Diehl Auditorium, 811 S. Clay St.; and at Heritage Center, 106 S. Broad St., Lanark, in the alley behind the center. Meals will be brought to cars.

Pulled pork sandwich, green beans, cheesy potatoes and a chocolate chip cookie bar will be served.  The cost is $7 for a one-sandwich meal and $8 for a two-sandwich meal. 

The meal is pre-order only. To purchase tickets, contact any Wonders of Washington 4-H Family or the Carroll County Extension office at 815-244-9444. Tickets are on sale until Tuesday.
