Police looking for missing Rock Falls man

ROCK FALLS – Police are looking for a Rock Falls man missing since Tuesday afternoon.

Bryan R. Van Hooser, 35, has been entered into the national missing persons database.

He is 5 feet 7 inches tall, 160 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He is driving a 2005 blue Chevrolet Trail Blazer with a Green Bay Packers trailer hitch cover, license plate 661 5431.

He may be headed to Kane County, DeKalb County, South Dakota, Wyoming, or Nebraska, Police Chief Mike Kuelper said.

Van Hooser's wife, Mindy, called police about 4:17 p.m. Tuesday and said she was worried about her husband, who made troubling comments to her earlier that afternoon. His didn't go to work that day, which was "highly unusual," and his cellphone was found in his house, Kuelper said.

Anyone with information is asked to email tips@rockfalls61071.com or call police at 815-622-1140 or Crime Stoppers at 815-625-7867.
