Sauk board OKs $1.4 million in upgrades
DIXON – The Sauk Valley Community College Board of Trustees voted Monday on five projects for the 2012-2013 fiscal year totaling about $1.4 million.
A new radio system for security staff and administrators is projected to cost $200,000. The college will get six new security cameras, and the four cameras already on campus will be relocated.
A fire alarm panel will be replaced with a system compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The current system has strobe lights that could trigger an epileptic seizure.
