DIXON – Larry Lee Lempke Sr., 65, of Dixon, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at Iowa City Veterans Affairs Health Care System in Iowa City, Iowa. 

Larry was born July 6, 1947, in Dixon, the son of Harold and Betty (Clayton) Lempke. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Lempke Jr. of Dixon and Steven (Tonya) Lempke of Sterling; one daughter, Lisa (Matt) Rumph of Stroudsburg, Pa.; one stepdaughter, Kim Jones of Pasadena, Texas; his mother, Betty Morgan of Dixon; three brothers, Joe Lempke and Bud (Pat) Lempke, both of Dixon, and John (Jen) Lempke of Rockford; two sisters, Maxine Ashby of Sterling and Bobbi Davis of San Bernadino, Calif.; and six grandchildren.
