CHADWICK – Genevieve G. Tessendorf, 88, of Chadwick, formerly of Pearl City, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at Good Samaritan Nursing Center in Mount Carroll. She worked with her husband at Tessendorf Welding Service in Pearl City for many years.

She was born July 1, 1924, in Lena, a daughter of John and Francis (Beck) Brown. She was a graduate of Freeport High School. Genevieve married Howard Tessendorf on July 15, 1942, in Kahoka, Mo. 

Surviving are five sons, Edward “Butch” (Midge) of Freeport, James (Lucile) of Pearl City, Michael (Tammie) of Hillsdale, and Larry (Cynthia) and Terry (Laura), both of Chadwick; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, David (Arlene) Brown of Milledgeville.
