ROCHELLE – Attorney John C. Redington is the new associate judge of the 15th Judicial Circuit, which handles cases in Lee, Ogle, Carroll, Stephenson and Jo Daviess counties.

Redington, with the Rochelle and Oregon law firm Tess & Redington, is a former Ogle County assistant state’s attorney. He was one of 10 being considered for the appointment.

He fills a vacancy left by then-Associate Judge Robert Hanson, who was appointed to fill the vacancy left by Judge Stephen Pemberton, who retired in July after nearly 30 years on the bench.
