Lucille F. Mowery
FREEPORT – Lucille F. Mowery, 85, of Freeport, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport.
She was born May 9, 1927, in Freeport, the daughter of Ralph and Eleanor (Bloom) Bushelle. Lucille married Harlan “Bill” Mowery on May 28, 1955, in Chicago. He died May 10, 2006. She was employed by Bankers Mutual Life and Micro Switch, then as a bookkeeper for Freeport Disposal, Freeport Recycling and Freeport Service Garage. During World War II, she worked in the Ration Office. Lucille was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Freeport.
Lucille enjoyed playing cards, bowling, going to flea markets, taking trips to gambling boats, traveling to Arizona, spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren’s activities. Lucille was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
