Disagrees with Dixon’s handling of dirt bike case
I sent State’s Attorney Henry Dixon a letter explaining the situation going on over a ticket that a family member received for riding a dirt bike with a suspended license. The people involved in this were the assistant state’s attorney and a member of the Lee County Sheriff’s Department.
I did get a letter that really shocked me to no end. Henry Dixon said he would not tolerate anyone accusing his office or the sheriff’s department of any wrongdoing, period. He didn’t even look into anything regarding the incident.
Mr. Dixon stated that he was going to handle this case personally to give me exactly what I asked for. Henry Dixon did, and the family member got the maximum punishment and a felony on his record.
