Sterling School Board to vote on budgets, raises
Cell tower lease also up for vote
STERLING – The Sterling School Board will vote today on an annual budget with about a $3.2 million deficit.
The district is expected to have $36,811,735 in revenue, $39,982,535 in expenses, for a total deficit of $3,170,800.
The deficit exists largely because in two funds – fire, prevention and safety; and capital projects – the district will spend money that it received prior to the start of the fiscal year for phase 2 of the Challand Middle School energy project, Finance Director Tim Schwingle said.
