MOUNT CARROLL – The Oakville Complex will be open for free self-guided tours from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the facility, off of Timber Creek Road between Oakville Cemetery and Oakville Country Club.

The Carroll County Historical Society maintains the complex. The one-room brick Oakville School features teaching posters from the 1930s. The log cabin home of the Weitzel family will be open.

Historical artifacts will be displayed at the Peter Hay cabin, an original log home of an early lead miner. A blacksmith shop and granary also will be available for viewing.
