We would like to thank the 911 operator who helped us during our recent stove fire. The flames were white hot in the oven, so we called 911 for assistance.

A couple of police squads came within minutes, followed by Dixon Rural and Dixon City Fire Departments. The fire was limited to the oven area. We don’t realize how fortunate Dixon residents are to have this type of response.

We kept the oven door closed, and it was scary to watch. Farley Appliance came right away and got our stove burner replaced. A thank you goes to all of these people.
