OHS names August Senior of Distinction

OREGON – Jennifer Rogers is Oregon High School’s August Senior of Distinction.

Danyel Larsen, teacher, nominated Rogers for her hard work, committment to learning, work ethic, effort and involvement in her school and community.

Rogers also was named Student of the Quarter.

She has been a member of the OHS cross country and track teams for the last 4 years. In cross country, she was voted most improved, and has served as co-captain, and this year, captain.

She also was voted most improved in track, and top sophomore and top junior. 

Rogers played on the OHS basketball team for 3 years, and earned the Hawk Hustle award. 

She has been a member of student council and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Rogers was the Mount Morris Let Freedom Ring Queen, and spent last summer working as a full-time secretary at Lutheran Outdoor Ministries Center.
