Officials question watchdog group in Lee County
Institute asked about it’s funding sources
DIXON – The representative of a watchdog group pushing for government transparency got some blowback when he spoke to the Lee County Board this week.
Brian Costin of the Chicago-based Illinois Policy Institute told the board he was willing to help the county become more open by putting information on its website.
During the summer, his group gave the county a low score for transparency, not unlike many other counties.
