Blanton to run for mayor in Rock Falls again
Mayor wants to see riverfront development through
ROCK FALLS – Mayor David Blanton said Wednesday that he will run for another term in the April 9 election.
Blanton, 65, is serving his second 4-year term. He wants to finish the projects he started when he was first elected mayor, he said.
“The riverfront is a big one,” he said. That’s one project we’ve got going. It’s going to be an interesting time with the riverfront and other things we’ve been working on. The economy is going to pick up. There are more things we need to get accomplished.”
