Arduini honored as longest-serving board member in Illinois
MORRISON – Whiteside County Board Chairman Tony Arduini has served for 47 years – since April 6, 1965.
At the time, the Vietnam War was just beginning. Neil Armstrong hadn’t set foot on the moon yet. Gas cost only a quarter a gallon.
Tuesday, the County Board honored the 91-year-old. Officials said he was the longest tenured current county board member in Illinois.
