Woman starts reiki practice at home
Reiki practitioner: Treatments can de-stress, alleviate many minor ailments
STERLING – When a terrible headache almost brought Challand Middle School band director Rosy Eden to tears one April afternoon, she called reiki practitioner Nicole Oberg.
Oberg came to Eden’s Rockford home and, after about 15 minutes of placing her hands at pressure points on Eden’s head, Oberg tamed the headache to a dull pain that was almost gone, Eden said.
“I’ve had a few experiences with reiki before but none that were quite as effective,” Eden said. “It was almost like heat was radiating from her hands. It definitely helped relieve the headache.”
