‘He fits what we’re looking for,’ Blanton says
ROCK FALLS – Mayor David Blanton hopes the new Ward 4 alderman appointed Tuesday will bring a splash of youthful vigor to city government.
At 33, Rock Falls native John Watts is the youngest City Council member. He was approved unanimously and will fill the seat vacated by Bob Thurm.
The 1996 Rock Falls High grad said he considered running for office for a while before the position opened up.
