Dateline Dixon: Council always says a prayer
DIXON – I go to a lot of meetings: City Council, park district, school board, planning and zoning, and Riverfront Commission.
Only one of those starts with a prayer.
I didn’t think too much about it – I mean, except beyond wondering why the City Council separated the Pledge of Allegiance and the prayer with the roll call, requiring everyone to stand up and sit down twice.
