ROCK FALLS – Ruth F. Frankfother, 83, of Rock Falls, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.

Ruth was born Sept. 21, 1928, the daughter of James and Bertha (Burdge) Marsh. She married Wilbur Frankfother on Nov. 21, 1953, in Rock Falls. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Rock Falls.

Survivors include her husband of Rock Falls; one daughter, Linda (James) Stroup of Sterling; three sons, James Cain of Sterling and Timothy Frankfother and Mark (Dawn) Frankfother, both of Rock Falls, three sisters, Frances Dersham of Erie, Lois Miles of Prophetstown and Phyllis Stern of Sterling; one brother, Robert (Dorothy) Marsh of Sterling; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
