Compton man dies in weekend car crash
PAW PAW – A trucker was ticketed and more charges are pending from a wreck that killed a Compton man Saturday night on Interstate 39.
Michael E. Welch, 32, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The southbound lane of the highway was closed for about 6 hours after the accident, which happened shortly before 8 p.m.
