After reading the article Sept. 13 concerning the fine given to the Latin American Social Club for the violation on Aug. 19, I think club members should consider themselves very lucky, after having two violations in 3 months.

I think the people of Sterling are very fortunate to have a mayor like Skip Lee who displays honesty and integrity in performing his duties as mayor. Shame on you, LASC members, who went to the mayor to put pressure on him to drop the ticket. I can see you don’t have the same moral standards as our mayor.

Why are you complaining about getting a ticket? Ignorance is no excuse. When you break the law, this is the result. The president of the club and the board members are responsible to know all the rules and regulations set by the liquor commission.
