Dixon, Sterling run in big meets; Sauk tennis earns second win
The Rock Falls Rockets claimed second place Saturday at the St. Viator Invite in Arlington Heights, suffering a championship-match loss to Boylan for the second straight year.
The Rockets went 2-1 in pool play, then beat Immaculate Conception 25-22, 25-13 in the semifinals. In the title tilt, Boylan won 25-14, 25-17.
Linsey Brown had 31 kills and 20 digs for Rock Falls (10-7), while Jordan Giddings added 30 kills and 18 blocks and Bailey O’Brien spiked 20 kills. Addesyn Nailor had 55 assists, 26 points and 19 digs, and Morgan Mammosser chipped in 35 digs, 27 assists and 19 kills.
