STERLING – Green kazoo in hand, 5-year-old Nolan Knox showed off his prize, won seconds earlier by picking a yellow duck out of a kiddie pool.

Nolan was making the rounds at the Taste of Fiesta celebration at the Grandon Civic Center with his family Saturday afternoon.

The park was filled with booths, merchants plying their wares, politicians spreading their names and messages, and nonprofits offering services. On the stage, musicians played traditional Mexican music and dancers beat out step dances, often in brightly colored skirts.
