Grateful for the academy
DeKALB – Jason Schepler is the only current Northern Illinois player who saw time in the Huskies’ 16-0 loss to Navy back in 2008.
When the senior tight end steps off the field at Michie Stadium after today’s game against Army, the Sycamore graduate will have had the experience of playing two different military academies in his career.
A true freshman at the time, Schepler caught one pass for 9 yards in the loss to Navy. Very few collegiate players who don’t play at Notre Dame get to play against two academies, an experience Schepler cherishes.
