Bulldogs even score late at A.C. Bowers
Dixon, Streator fit to be tied
DIXON – In a back-and-forth, evenly played match, it was only fitting that the Dixon Dukes and Streator Bulldogs left A.C. Bowers Field on Thursday with a 1-1 tie.
On a wet field that was far more slippery than sloppy, the Dukes capitalized on one scrum in front of the Streator goal in the first half, only to see the Bulldogs do the same in the final 10 minutes.
"Give a lot of credit to both defenses," Streator coach Jim Muntz said, "because they did an outstanding job and dictated things real well tonight."
