ROCK FALLS – Beulah E. Ufkin, 91, formerly of Rock Falls, died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Center in Prophetstown.

She was born on Aug. 31, 1921, in Spring Hill, the daughter of Glenn D. and Blanche Violet (Heller) Goss. She married Lawrence Ufkin on Dec. 7, 1940, in Clinton, Iowa. He died Sept. 27, 2003.

She and her late husband lived in Rock Falls until 1961 when they moved to Canton. Upon retirement in 1978, they moved back to Rock Falls. Beulah had worked as a clerk at the former Sowles Store in Rock Falls and later as special occasions supervisor at Graham Hospital in Canton.
