DIXON – Biking from Seattle to Dixon, two Sauk Valley men on Sunday crossed the Continental Divide.

The trip, which will take about a month, is being documented by one of the bikers, Brant Clements, on a nearly daily blog, Velocipedic Saturnal, which can be found at velocipedicsaturnal.blogspot.com. (He explains the name in the second entry.)

Clements, the pastor at St. Paul Lutheran Church, joined BJ Fenwick for the trek. Fenwick, of Sterling, closed his Dixon bike and outdoor sports store earlier this year and plans to open a smaller location in Sterling later this year.
