ROCK FALLS – Weather-wise, Thursday wasn’t the best day the Rock River has seen. Skies were overcast. And rain began to fall just as a trail dedication ceremony in Rock Falls was about to kick off.

A small group of local leaders gathered under the only shelter available, but the covering didn’t provide much protection against the wind.

That didn’t stop the group from marking the dedication of the Rock Falls section of the Rock River Trail. The portion dedicated is at the Upper Dam and Hennepin Feeder Canal in Rock Falls.
