MURDER CASE: Tiffany Fassler, 36, charged with first-degree murder and two counts of aggravated battery of a child. Police say she kicked her then-6-year-old stepson in the chest on Dec. 30, 2010, causing him to hit his head on a bathroom vanity, which caused serious brain damage. The boy died nearly a year later.
