Shawn Skinner saw a situation that could be a potential issue for the Rock Falls football team and did something about it.

Skinner is a 3-year, two-way starter for the Rockets and was entrenched at the right guard position on offense. At 5-foot-7, 225 pounds with a brawler's mentality, the wrestling standout was well-equipped for combat on the line of scrimmage.

After a Week 1 loss to Harvard, however, a situation arose. Starting right tackle Joey Torres was going to miss the next two games against Marengo and Rockford Lutheran because of a family situation.
