School chief: District ‘in good financial condition’
Board OK's budget with projected $2.1M deficit
ROCK FALLS – Despite the approval Wednesday of a budget with a deficit of more than $2.1 million, Rock Falls Elementary School District Superintendent Dan Arickx said the district is in good fiscal shape.
“Overall, my opinion is that the district is in good financial condition,” he said.
The school board approved the 2012-13 budget with projected revenue of $11,316,180.83 and expenditures of $13,429,442. That projects to a deficit of $2,113,261.
