Dixon’s plea gets support
Finance chairman: Hire another prosecutor for state’s attorney’s office
DIXON – A top-ranking Lee County Board member is supporting the state’s attorney’s request for more staff, which would mean increasing the budget by nearly $100,000 a year.
Rick Ketchum, D-Amboy, chairman of the board’s Finance Committee, said State’s Attorney Henry Dixon’s increased caseload justifies hiring another assistant state’s attorney and an administrative employee.
Once the state’s attorney finishes his high-profile cases, the office can return to its current staffing, Ketchum said.
