Microsurveys begin today on website
STERLING – Beginning today, viewers of Sauk Valley Media’s website will see something a little different.
To continue to provide an alternative to a subscription-based website, SVM has entered a partnership with Google. When users visit saukvalley.com, they will see some content of local stories, but to view the entire story, readers will be asked to answer a simple survey question, such as, “Do you drink pop?” The reader also may be asked to “Like” the story on Facebook.
By performing either of those quick actions, the full story will appear. The survey question will be displayed on only the first story the reader views each day. All surveys will be anonymous, and Google will not use any data collected for its own ad targeting.
