CHICAGO – All over the windy city there'll be toe-tapping and swaying to the music of the 2012 World Music Festival.
The festival runs Sept. 21-27, with free, family-oriented entertainment. A sampling of the musical treats featured are: Maria de Barros, a singer from Cape Verde; Canteca de Macao, a Spanish ensemble; Celtic Connections Presents Transatlantic Sessions; Los Gaiteros de San Jocinto and its Colombian flutes; and a finale of global artists "One World Under One Roof."
The entertainment is hosted by the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events.
